Your Puerto Vallarta fishing Captain, Steve Torres, is a two time World Billfish Series (WBS) World Champion: 2000, 2006. He was born in Puerto Vallarta and no one knows the Puerto Vallarta fishing grounds better!

He is the most sought after Captain in Puerto Vallarta. His 1270 pound Black Marlin is the largest ever caught in Mexico and he is the only one to catch a White Marlin in the Pacific in 18 years.

When you fish for big game fish you need a Captain and Mate that work together well. It takes a team effort to raise these fish, hook them, and get them in the boat. First Mate Freddy Rodriquez is the sure footed mate who can bait up rods faster than anyone you'll ever see and can guide you to successfully land your fish. He is as comfortable walking around the boat as if he was in his own livingroom.

You can always tell who Freddy Rodrquez is, just look for the bare footed mate. Freddy can make his way around the boat better than most, easily jumping from one rod to the next. Setting hooks, handing off the rod to his angler, baiting and rebaiting and he does all of this while barefoot.

Our Captain and First Mate are English speaking so there will be no communication barriers. You can speak to your Captain in plain English and he will understand you just fine. While on board Sirena you are welcome to ask Captain Steve anything you like about fishing in Puerto Vallarta.
